Lung Cancer Screening: Current state and future directions

Lung cancer is one of the most common cancers in the world, and has a very low survival rate, partly due to many patients being diagnosed only once their disease has reached an advanced stage. Screening programmes for high-risk populations are a possible solution to this problem, as it would help to identify more lung cancer cases when they are in early stages, and are therefore more treatable.

In this podcast, we explain the current guidelines from the US, UK, and Europe, talk on key trials in lung cancer screening, and hear from leading experts about possible future screening methods.
