The International Workshop on CAR-T (iwCAR-T) 2022 featured many updates on the development of CAR T-cell therapies for the treatment of solid tumors. In this session, alterations to the composition of the tumor microenvironment as a result of immune checkpoint therapy and the implications of this, as well as tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) therapy for the treatment of solid tumours are discussed.
