David Yankelevitz, MD, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, NY, discusses the current state and future goals for lung cancer screening. The number of measurements and findings generated during screenings has improved significantly but the reporting of additional findings such as emphysema remains controversial. Dr Yankelevitz proposes that the field decides which additional findings should be prioritised and how these discoveries can be communicated to patients effectively. This interview took place at the 2023 World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) in Singapore, Singapore.
