There is an emphasis on the need for more research into the epigenetic factors influencing colorectal cancer. Patients are now being identified based on genomic and germline mutations, with a focus on managing long-term toxicity and fertility issues that may arise in this population. This interview took place at 2024 European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Gastrointestinal Cancer Annual Congress in Munich, Germany.
