Jean Emmanuel Kurtz, MD, PhD, University of Strasbourg, Strasbourg, France, comments on the ATALANTE trial (NCT02891824), which demonstrated a 5-month survival benefit in patients with platinum-sensitive ovarian cancer receiving atezolizumab. However, the findings did not reach statistical significance, which may hinder market approval for the drug in its current indication. Future studies aim to refine the approach and improve outcomes for these patients. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2024 Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
