ESMO 2024 | Neo-CheckRay: chemotherapy and SBRT with durvalumab and oleclumab in ER+/HER2- breast cancer

Alex De Caluwe, MD, Jules Bordet Institute, Brussels, Belgium, gives an overview of the Phase II Neo-CheckRay trial (NCT03875573), which assessed chemotherapy with stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) in patients with early-stage, high risk ER+/HER2- breast cancer. Patients were randomized to receive chemotherapy with SBRT alone, or with durvalumab, or with durvalumab and oleclumab. The primary and second endpoints include residual cancer burden (RCB) 0 -1 rates and pathological complete response respectively. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2024 Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
