Satoshi Fukushima, MD, PhD, Kumamoto University, Kumamoto, Japan, comments on the need for regionalized guidelines in cancer treatment. Dr Fukushima notes that randomized controlled trials may not be feasible in all regions due to various factors, and therefore, incorporating data from Western countries and real-world data from their own region can help create more effective and tailored guidelines. This approach can better reflect the unique characteristics and challenges of each region, ultimately leading to improved patient outcomes. This interview took place at the 11th World Congress of Melanoma and 21st EADO Congress in Athens, Greece.
