Hossein Borghaei, DO, MS, Fox Chase Cancer Center, Philadelphia, PA, provides an overview of the Phase III EA5163/S1709 INSIGNA (NCT03793179) trial testing the timing of pembrolizumab alone or with chemotherapy as first-line treatment and maintenance in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Patients included have adenocarcinoma, PD-L1 expression of at least 1% and no driver mutations. The primary endpoint is overall-survival (OS) and secondary endpoints include progression-free survival (PFS), best objective response, PD-L1 positivity and safety.
