Johan De Munter, RN, University Hospital Ghent, Ghent, Belgium, talks on the important role of young cancer nurses. During the pandemic, young cancer nurses faced exceptionally high levels of psychological and physical stress. It is important to provide young nurses with education opportunities teaching them about leadership management and policy making, because they will have a critical role in improving the quality of cancer care. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2021 congress.
