AACR 2024 | The advantages of cryo-immune vaccinations in treating metastatic cancers

George Prendergast, PhD, Lankenau Institute for Medical Research (LIMR), Wynnewood, PA, comments on the benefits of cryo-immune vaccinations over conventional immunotherapy. Combination therapies consisting of multiple immunotherapies, such as anti-CTLA-4 with anti-PD-L1 blockade, can be very toxic, and cryo-immune vaccinations enables locoregional treatment, where tumor cells will release antigens upon cryolysis. This interview took place at American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting 2024 in San Diego, CA.
