ASCO GI 2023 | Novel insights in the role of transplantation in liver cancer

Gonzalo Sapisochin, MD, Toronto General Hospital, Toronto, CA, comments on the future role of liver transplantation in patients with liver cancer. Advances in the treatment landscape, including the advent of systemic therapies and immunotherapy, may increase the proportion of patients eligible for transplant. Techniques such as liquid biopsies and ctDNA analysis will additionally benefit clinicians in the decision making process. This interview took place at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) 2023 Gastrointestinal Cancers (GI) Symposium in San Francisco, CA.
