ASCO GI 2023 | The benefits of liver transplantation in mCRC and intrahepatic CCA

Gonzalo Sapisochin, MD, Toronto General Hospital, Toronto, CA, provides an overview of the advantages in providing liver transplantation in patients with intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) or metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC). For patients with intrahepatic CCA, transplantation can provide promising outcomes if they have certain mutations and unresectable tumors. Patients with mCRC, who have undergone chemotherapy and surgery, additionally benefit from liver transplantation. This interview took place at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) 2023 Gastrointestinal Cancers (GI) Symposium in San Francisco, CA.
