ASCO 2021 | Colorectal cancer trial updates at ASCO 2021

Sebastian Stintzing, MD, Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Berlin, Germany, outlines recent advances in research concerning colorectal cancer (CRC) presented at the 2021 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting. Prof. Stintzing provides an overview of the KEYNOTE-177 study (NCT02563002), which assesses pembrolizumab in patients with microsatellite unstable colorectal carcinoma, and the Phase II DEEPER trial (NCT02515734), which evaluates FOLFOXIRI with either bevacizumab or cetuximab in metastatic CRC. The PANAMA trial (NCT01991873), which investigates maintenance therapy with 5-fluorouracil and leucovorin plus panitumumab in metastatic CRC, was also discussed. This interview took place at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) 2021 Virtual Meeting.
