WCLC 2026 | Driver mutations increase survival in never-smokers with lung cancer
Sindhu Naidu, MBBS, BSc (Hons), MRCP, FHEA, PGCert (Med Ed), University College London, London, UK, shares insights into the impact of driver mutations on survival in never-smokers with lung cancer in England. Around half of the patients assessed had a driver mutation, mostly commonly in EGFR. Those with driver mutations had nearly double the survival time of those without, and this trend continued with other factors like treatment were accounted for. This interview took place at the IASLC 2026 World Conference on Lung Cancer congress in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
