ESMO 2023 | How does psychological stress affect the efficacy of ICIs in NSCLC?

Fang Wu, MD, Central South University, Hunan, China, provides an overview of the prospective, observational STRESS-LUNG-1 trial (NCT05477979), which assessed the effects of psychological stress on the efficacy of first-line immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). 166 patients were enrolled and the primary endpoint was progression-free survival. Secondary endpoints included overall response rate, quality of life and levels of selected hormones. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2023 Congress in Madrid, Spain.
