Juan Manuel O’Connor, MD, MSc, Instituto Alexander Fleming, Buenos Aires, Argentina, describes an individualized patient data analysis of 5 randomized clinical trials evaluating chemotherapy plus anti-EGFR retreatment versus switched chemotherapy plus anti-VEGF treatment after progression in mismatch repair proficient/microsatellite stable (pMMR/MSS) RAS/BRAF wild-type metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC). A good positive signal was seen for continued anti-EGFR therapy, however Dr O’Connor cautions that these results were not obtained from a comparative randomized clinical trial. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Gastrointestinal Cancer 2026 Congress in Munich, Germany.
