Eva Compérat, MD, PhD, Medical University of Vienna, Vienna, Austria, discusses the challenges in detecting and diagnosing urinary tract diseases, highlighting the limitations of cytology in identifying high-risk cases due to complex cellular morphology. Prof. Compérat notes that as a pathologist, obtaining and analyzing biopsies can be difficult, particularly with small samples, and also requires additional testing for conditions like Lynch syndrome. This interview took place at the 41st Annual EAU Congress in London, UK.
