ESMO 2026 | Assessing the safety and efficacy of EIK1003, a novel selective PARP1 inhibitior

Guru Sonpavde, MD, AdventHealth Cancer Institute, Orlando, FL, discusses the comparison of toxicity profile and efficacy of EIK1003 with other PARP1 inhibitors, noting that EIK1003 appears to be less toxic with less myelosuppression, although more data are needed to confirm this definitively. Dr Sonpavde emphasizes the challenges of cross-trial comparisons and the need for further accumulation of efficacy and toxicity data. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2026 Congress in Madrid, Spain.
