BNOS 2022 | The role of radiomics to predict the occurrence of brain metastases

Hamoun Rozati, MBChB, Imperial College London, London, UK, describes current research on predicting when brain metastases will occur using radiomics. Using data extracted from radiological scans have been hypothesized to predict patient response as well as when a patient will have brain metastases. Earlier detection will result in enhances responses where targeting a smaller tumor will more likely be successful. Despite initial studies not showing a correlation, further research may demonstrate the benefits of radiomics. This interview took place at the British Neuro-Oncology Society (BNOS) Annual Meeting 2022.
