WCLC 2026 | PAPILLON: OS findings of amivantamab & chemotherapy in EGFR exon 20 ins-NSCLC

Chul Kim, MD, Georgetown University, Washington, DC, shares insights into the final overall survival (OS) analysis of the PAPILLON (NCT04538664) trial evaluating first-line intravenous amivantamab plus chemotherapy versus chemotherapy alone in EGFR exon 20 insertion-mutated non-small cell lung cancer (ins-NSCLC). At median follow-up of 48.6 months, median OS was 34.3 months in the combination arm and 27.9 months in the chemotherapy arm. The safety profile of amivantamab was consistent with prior reports, and patient-reported outcomes demonstrated improved time to worsening of symptoms and to symptomatic progression with amivantamab and chemotherapy. This interview took place at the IASLC 2026 World Conference on Lung Cancer congress in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
