GI Malignancies Debate 2022 | Unmet needs in the management of neuroendocrine tumors

Nitya Raj, MD, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY, describes current challenges in the treatment of neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). Despite numerous therapies available, more research is needed to properly sequence these treatments and clinicians need to accurately stage the disease to improve patient outcomes. Patients may additionally have abnormal hormonal changes that exacerbate the condition, which may not be visible during imaging. This interview took place virtually at the 2022 Great Debates & Updates in Gastrointestinal Malignancies Congress.
