ASCO 2024 | PARADIGM: acquired gene alterations and progressive disease in CRC
Hiroyuki Uetake, MD, PhD, Tokyo Medical and Dental University, Tokyo, Japan, discusses findings from an exploratory analysis of acquired gene alterations in the Phase III PARADIGM trial (NCT02394795). The trial assessed FOLFOX6 with panitumumab or bevacizumab in patients with RAS wild-type metastatic colorectal cancer (RASwt mCRC), were the former showed superior overall survival. Mutations in the RTK/RAS pathway were more prevalent in the panitumumab arm, whereas patients receiving bevacizumab had worse outcomes if they have CIMP pathway alterations. This interview took place during the 2024 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
