ASCO GI 2023 | Key radiotherapy updates at ASCO GI 2023

Manisha Palta, MD, Duke University, Durham, NC, provides an overview of radiotherapy trials presented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) 2023 Gastrointestinal Cancers (GI) Symposium, including findings from the Phase III NRG/RTOG 1112 trial (NCT01730937) of stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) and sorafenib in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Dr Palta additionally highlights studies assessing palliative radiotherapy in metastatic HCC, as well as short course radiation in rectal cancer. This interview took place at the ASCO 2023 GI Symposium in San Francisco, CA.
