Atocha Romero, PharmD, PhD, Hospital Universitario Puerta de Hierro, Madrid, Spain, provides an overview of the detection of ALK-fusion transcripts via extracellular vesicles from non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cell lines and patient plasma. The onset of these platforms set the stage for the development of EV-based noninvasive ALK testing.
