Hedyeh Ebrahimi, MD, MPH, City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center, Duarte, CA, gives an overview of CBM588, a live bacterial product designed for renal cel carcinoma. The novel therapy will colonize the lower gastrointestinal tract, leading to the production of butyrate and an increase in beneficial bacterial species. Preclinical evidence have suggested a potential therapeutic benefit, particularly in promoting a favorable gut microbiome. This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2025 in San Francisco, CA.
