GU Cancers 2021 | PSMA PET/CT: detection rate and impact on clinical practice

Giulio Francolini, MD, University of Florence, Florence, Italy, discusses the findings of a retrospective study investigating the detection rate, pattern of relapse, and influence on therapeutic decision-making of prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) PET/CT in patients affected by biological recurrence after radical prostatectomy. The study found that PSMA PET/CT had a high detection rate which enabled treatment to be personalized on the basis of imaging. This interview took place during the 2021 Genitourinary Cancers Symposium.
