AACR 2021 | Analysis and comparison of PD-L1 IHC tests

Emina E. Torlakovic, PhD, MD, FCAP, University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Canada, discusses the results of an analysis evaluating PD-L1 immunohistochemistry (IHC) testing. Four commercial PD-L1 kits were assessed using reference materials which incorporated defined concentrations of PD-L1 peptide or recombinant extracellular domain protein. The findings of this evaluation will allow for the development of new IHC predictive biomarkers, and give a greater understanding to PD-L1 assay interchangeability. This interview took place at the virtual American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting 2021.
