Philip Poortmans, MD, PhD, University of Antwerp, Antwerp, Belgium, gives an overview of the one-year cosmetic outcomes from the Phase III ULTIMO trial, which compares ultrahypofractionated (UHF) and conventionally fractionated (CF) boost radiation after whole-breast radiation therapy. Findings show similar cosmetic results between the two regimens, with most patients in both groups reporting good to excellent outcomes. No significant differences were observed in late adverse events. This interview took place at the 2025 St. Gallen International Breast Cancer Consensus Meeting in Vienna, Austria.
