Lisa Carey, MD, FASCO, UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, Chapel Hill, NC, discusses the main take-home messages from the St. Gallen International Breast Cancer Conference, such as emerging investigations reducing surgical interventions, tailoring chemotherapy, as well as more rational approaches to improving outcomes.
