Emily Daugherty, MD, University of Cincinnati Medical Center/College of Medicine, Cincinnati, OH, highlights the potential role of FLASH radiotherapy for cancer treatment and areas for future research. FLASH radiotherapy could revolutionise radiotherapy delivery to areas surrounding vital organs, enabling progressive treatment of cancers with limited radiotherapy options. In the future, it could be used in conjunction with immunotherapy. This interview took place at the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) 2022 Congress in San Antonio, Tx.
