Maja Pakiz, MD, University Medical Centre Maribor, Maribor, Slovenia, discusses the uses and advantages of telemedicine in surgery. From mentorships via robots in the operating theatre to virtual reality training in rare procedures to artificial intelligence in radiology, there have been great advances in telemedicine in recent years.
