ESGO 2021 | Challenges in treatment of obese patients with gynecological malignancies

Some cancers of the genital tract, such as endometrial cancer, are characterised by the influence of body mass index in its development. The proportion of obese patients among women with gynecologic cancers seems to be increasing. Maja Pakiz, MD, University Medical Centre Maribor, Maribor, Slovenia, discusses the challenges in surgical, radiotherapeutic and medical treatment of obese patients.
