Some cancers of the genital tract, such as endometrial cancer, are characterised by the influence of body mass index in its development. The proportion of obese patients among women with gynecologic cancers seems to be increasing. Maja Pakiz, MD, University Medical Centre Maribor, Maribor, Slovenia, discusses the challenges in surgical, radiotherapeutic and medical treatment of obese patients. This interview took place at the European Society of Gynaecological Oncology (ESGO) 2021 congress in Prague.
