SITC 2023 | The role of glycoproteomics in cancer progression

Yana Najjar, MD, UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, Pittsburgh, PA, provides an overview of glycoproteomics’ significance in the treatment of cancers. Since most proteins are glycosylated, failing to study them in this respect provides a limited view of their functions; this is relevant to cancer research as glycosylation has been implicated in tumor metastasis and transformation. This interview took place at the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer’s (SITC) 38th Annual Meeting in San Diego, CA.
