Lopamudra Das Roy, MS, PhD, MBA, Breast Cancer Hub, Charlotte, NC, describes the comprehensive door-to-door breast cancer screening initiative in remote villages of Assam, India. Local women were trained to perform screenings, build trust, and educate villagers about breast health. The program addressed barriers such as poverty, lack of awareness, and hospital accessibility by providing transport, generating health certificates, and supporting patients through diagnosis and treatment. This approach has significantly improved early detection and breast cancer awareness in underserved communities. This interview took place at the 2024 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS) congress in San Antonio, TX.
