Icro Meattini, MD, University of Florence, Florence, Italy, comments on the current state of predictive models in breast cancer radiation therapy, highlighting the need for clinically validated tools to inform treatment decisions. Unfortunately, a narrative review of existing data found no such tools, despite the potential benefits of biomarker-driven approaches. Dr Meattini emphasizes the need to continue building robust results and validating existing tools to advance the field and improve patient care, This interview took place at the ESTRO 2025 congress in Vienna, Austria.
