WCLC Sept 2021 | Ongoing lung cancer screening efforts in Brazil

Ricardo Sales dos Santos, MD, PhD, Albert Einstein Israelite Hospital, São Paulo, Brazil, describes an ongoing multicenter lung cancer screening program in Brazil. In approximately 4000 patients screened in Brazil in recent years, lung cancer prevalence is around 2%, which is similar to that in North America and Europe. Dr dos Santos hopes that ongoing lung cancer screening efforts being made in Brazil will be reproducible and serve as a positive example to other countries in Latin America. This interview took place at the World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) 2021.
