ASCO 2023 | The evolution of lung cancer treatment

Roy S. Herbst, MD, PhD, Yale School of Medicine, New Haven, CT, describes how lung cancer treatment has reached a stage where the best multi-modality therapies (surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, supportive care etc.) to remove tumors. The addition of targeted therapy, such as neo-adjuvant and adjuvant immunotherapy, has improved survival rates for patients and led them to remain disease-free from lung cancer for many years.
