Francesco Guerrera, MD, University of Turin, Turin, Italy, discusses a meta-analysis evaluating adherence and surgical outcomes in patients with resectable non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) receiving neoadjuvant immunotherapy with or without standard chemotherapy. Despite 13% of patients in the analysis not undergoing surgery, the findings suggest that neoadjuvant immunotherapy has an acceptable adherence rate and promising surgical outcomes, though further optimization of protocol duration and dosing could enhance results. This interview took place at the 2024 World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) in San Diego, CA.
