Sarbajit Mukherjee, MD, MS, Miami Cancer Institute, Miami, FL, discusses a cross-sectional analysis of Phase III solid tumor trial abstracts presented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting from 2015 to 2025. The study evaluated gender representation among first and senior authors. While female authorship increased over the decade, women remained underrepresented overall and had lower odds of senior authorship. Disparities varied by tumor track and by geographic region, highlighting persistent structural gaps in academic oncology leadership. This interview took place during the 2026 ASCO Meeting in Chicago, IL.
