EBCC 2024 | Impact of AI on patient decision making in breast cancer

Timo Schinköthe, PhD, Universität der Bundeswehr München & CANKADO, Munich, Germany, discusses the future of artificial intelligence (AI), such as the CINDERELLA APProach (NCT05196269), in patient education and decision making in breast cancer. The CINDERELLA app uses AI to forecast aesthetic outcomes of different types of surgery, specific to the patient. Use of AI in such a manner may improve patient understanding and mental preparation prior to surgery. This interview took place at the 14th European Breast Cancer Conference (EBCC) in Milan, Italy.
