ANZUP 2023 | Unmet needs in psycho-oncologic support for patients with GU cancer

Haryana Dhillon, PhD, University of Sydney, Sydney, Australia, provides an overview of remaining challenges in providing supportive care for patients with genitourinary (GU) cancers. More psychological support is needed, where many patients will be worried about cancer recurrence and developing metastatic disease. A number of patients will additionally have anxiety and depression as a result of cancer diagnosis, which can be readily managed. This interview took place at the Australian and New Zealand Urogenital and Prostate (ANZUP) Cancer Trials Group annual scientific meeting in Melbourne, Australia.
