ASCO 2026 | Patient-reported outcomes from IMvigor011: adjuvant atezolizumab in MIBC

Joaquim Bellmunt, MD, PhD, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, MA, comments on the patient-reported outcomes of the IMvigor011 trial (NCT04660344), which evaluated the use of adjuvant atezolizumab in patients with muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC), guided by circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA). Analysis of patient-reported outcomes using the EORTC C30 questionnaire showed no significant change in time to deterioration of physical functioning, role functioning, and global health status quality of life between the atezolizumab and placebo arms. This interview took place during the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
