Minesh Mehta, MD, Miami Cancer Institute, Miami, FL, comments on how radiation therapy should be the standard of care in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and brain metastases. For a vast majority of patients, radiation therapy will benefit them. However, patients with ALK mutations can forego radiotherapy and receive systemic therapy.
