ASCO 2024 | METIS: Tumor Treating Fields (TTFields) in patients with NSCLC and brain metastases

Minesh Mehta, MD, Miami Cancer Institute, Miami, FL, discusses findings from the Phase III METIS trial (NCT02831959), which evaluated the efficacy and safety of Tumor Treating Fields (TTFields) therapy in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and brain metastases treated with stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS). Results demonstrated that TTFields significantly prolonged time to intracranial progression, improved quality of life, and did not negatively impact cognition. This interview took place during the 2024 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
