Puneeth Iyengar, MD, PhD, UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, TX, discusses the applications of circulating tumor (ct)DNA in the management of oligometastatic disease, including to monitor the likelihood of metastatic dissemination to other organ systems. Dr Iyengar highlights the longitudinal collection of ctDNA for the prediction of time before disease progression following local treatment, as well as for the identification of genetic markers to help predict which patients will benefit from local therapy. This interview was recorded via an online conference call with The Video Journal of Oncology (VJOncology).
