IASLC TTLC 2024 | Characterization and diagnosis of NUT carcinoma

Jia Luo, MD, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, MA, provides an overview of the disease biology and diagnostic techniques for NUT carcinoma, which occurs in approximately 1,400 patients in the US every year. NUT carcinoma is often underdiagnosed, due it being a fusion oncogene and requiring RNA-based sequencing. The lack of a defined histology additionally makes diagnosis difficult and NUT IHC/FISH tests are available for clinicians. This interview took place at 2024 Targeted Therapies of Lung Cancer Meeting (TTLC 2024) in Santa Monica, CA.
