Sola Adeleke, MBBS, PhD, King’s College London, London, UK, discusses some of the challenges of implementing novel imaging techniques into clinical cancer practice. Technical validation across different geographical locations is necessary, as well as ensuring that the information from these images aligns with what is presented in histology and biopsies. Dr Adeleke estimates this validation process will take at least five years before novel techniques can be adopted in clinical practice. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Asia 2023 Congress in Singapore.
