James Harding, MD, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY, discusses the Phase III HARMONi-GI1 (NCT06591520) trial evaluating first-line (1L) ivonescimab plus chemotherapy versus durvalumab plus chemotherapy in patients with advanced biliary tract cancer (BTC). The trial met its primary endpoint in terms of overall survival with a median overall survival of 14.9 months with ivonescimab versus 12.1 months with durvalumab. The study’s secondary endpoints, including progression-free survival and response rate, were also positive, although with increased toxicity.
