BNOS 2022 | The molecular subtypes of medulloblastoma

Max van Essen, University of Oxford, Oxford, UK, provides an overview of the four clinical variants of medulloblastoma, the most common form of malignant brain tumors in children. The subtypes are based on histopathology are Wnt, Shh, Group 3, and Group 4, with Wnt and Shh (Sonic Hedgehog) named after the respective signaling pathways that influence the pathogenesis of the medulloblastoma. This interview took place at the British Neuro-Oncology Society (BNOS) Annual Meeting 2022.
