Sanjay Popat, BSc, MBBS, FRCP, PhD, The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, London, UK, highlighted key discussions from BTOG 2025, which saw over 1,000 attendees and 250 abstracts presented. A major focus was on antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), a promising new class of treatments in thoracic oncology, particularly for HER2 and EGFR-mutant lung cancers. Discussions explored their efficacy, toxicity, patient selection, and optimal placement in treatment pathways. With several ADCs nearing approval, refining biomarker-driven selection will be crucial. Prof. Popat emphasized the rapid evolution of the field and encouraged attendees to access BTOG resources for further insights. This interview took place at the BTOG 2025 congress in Belfast, UK.
